Topshop Spring 2010

Let me talk to you on how I love the latest Topshop lookbook.

Downtown: Mixing fabrics, futuristic shapes and sporty detailing. Slinky harems with hidden zips, bodycon pieces in graphic prints and leggings with power mesh inserts.

Meadow: Billowing chiffon, bleached denim, delicate florals, studded waistcoats, lace-up boots and leather accessories, lace, crochet and intricate embroidery.

Parisienne: Flirty, feminine and fun, featuring stripes, polka dots and pearls. Flouncy dresses, boucle jackets, embroidered tees and playful accessories.

Saloon: Cancan ruffles, saloon inspired frills, broderier anglaise and delicate cutwork. Indigo denim, beaten-up leather and casual canvas, dusty coloured tulles and sun-faded prints.

Perhaps the collection I loved best was the Meadow look. Time incoporate all the florals in my wardrobe! Gaaah. =) No, I can't have only one favorite. I extremely dig all of 'em. <3

chain linked.. wrap up!!

I find rub-on tattoos hot as ever now!!
Is it just me or what?
These Chanel spring 2010 sticker/rub-on tattoos are just plain amazing.
There's no freakin chance i'd get the real thing. So perhaps. Get someone from my area to DO IT for me. Hey summer is nearing and I'm almost out of school. Might give it a try..
I like the first picture best btw. It looks like chain stripper stockings minus the nylon. and yup the bracelets are fine too!

strut the sidewalk in style

I got excited with style.com's spring 2010 looks. and... I got to play around with shape collage again!!

These are by far my choice for wear/copy-able looks. I get inspired by the simple, clean and a pop of something extremely gorgeous or unique.

P.S. click the photos to enlarge and the name of the designer is on the URL link. =)

shoe lust: MR. ROBOTO

I am alive again. Okay so today was the last of my final exams and phew I'm glad I made it through. My thesis editing is almost over. So I could pretty much do blog walking these days.

travel back to the future with these awesome balenciaga's. they're classic (oxfords, and loafers) but the heels and platforms are soo futuristic. and the colors. they're candy liker. perfect for spring,eh? well, I don't seriously think i'd own one of these but yeah, it makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. IDK!! =p

I am currently, madly and deeply in love with shoes.
WARNING: More shoe posts coming up!!
Geeh. Share your thoughts about these shoes.

latest love

Major exams are finally over. We have a school trip this coming Thursday to Manila, I don't really expect to go extreme shopping but hopefully I get my hands on something... perhaps, new shoes?

Here's something before I hit the sack.

I have this great fascination with laces and I recently acquired this top, the back part is sheer and I am diggin' the lace pattern. Can't wait to wear it out. =)

Finding the perfect blazer has been my long dream, the one with the right color, not too thick and heavy, and yeah I finally found it plus it has little silk flower details on the left pocket!! <3>or even just the cold breeze!!

(bow tie necklace, gorgeous. zipper flower cuff, online. sunnies, vintage.)

The sunglasses are vintage, my guy friend gave to me, i think it's even older than me! It belonged to his grandmother.

there is no such thing as too much

It has been almost 6 weeks since I posted my 2010 wish list... And some of them are now granted (although they are not really the exact same thing as shown in the list) with unexpected surprises in between..

I originally wanted a Monogram, but my mom wanted a Damier, I gave in.. I was like, whatever works, Damier it is, BUT eventually she got me Monogram. I am more in love with the Monogram design, they look more appealing to me. idk. =p

International wallet instead of the Insolite

Surprises in between...

this Monogram Totally can be my new working bag. It has zippers and outside pockets!!! for a change. =)

My mother was very kind to buy me a Chanel bag. It was a very strange and a BEAUTIFUL surprise on a Saturday morning.

This is an very old vintage Chanel bag from my mother and It's mine now! <3>
I have been trying my best to get my hands on the Louis Vuitton Ballerina's but unfortunately they are not in stores yet, or will they ever be. I'm trying to find a replacement with my old ones and I need them now!!

On a different note...

I recently have been purchasing a lot of fun accessories. They make me happy, they give life to a boring outfit and they're funky. =))

rings from (L-R: Gorgeous, SM Dept. Store, H&M)
I am obsessed with rings, although it's very hard for me to find really nice and unique one's since the choices in Iloilo are very limited, I still manage to grab something which I like though...

I love this owl necklace from Gorgeous (a local accessory shop), it looks exactly with what Forever21 has, only cheaper ($3). This purple ring is from my boyfriend's sister. She has the exact same ring in white, I complimented them and she got me a purple one the next day. It's a cute flower cocktail ring.

Yeah so this is it for now. it took me a long time to upload this pictures. geez =))

CREAM OF THE CROP

THIS IS A VERY LATE POST SINCE I STARTED MAKING IT BEFORE 2009 ENDS. BUT YEAH, HERE IT IS!! =))

One thursday evening, while I was very bored much waiting for the New Year to start, a somehow great idea popped into my mind (well for me at least) I wanted to name my Top bloggers and Top fashion icons of 2009. So I went first with my top bloggers since I already had a clue of who they were. I immediately emailed them for consent, and run through each and every page of their blog to take down some notes. I guess I just wanted a feature not really an interview since I'm kinda' dumb ass when it comes to these writing stuff, I'm pretty much good at putting together what is available. So here goes:

We do have what we call now Fashion Bloggers, independent women who break the rules of fashion to speak their mind, show their creativity and share the world the beauty that's not often seen. They have started a scene of their own, putting and sharing them selves out for the world.

Who struck me most: (in no particular order)
Noelle of Noelle Chantal - just a girl in between inspiring styles and beautiful places. Her blog says it all, Noelle combines fashion, nature and beautiful scenery at one. This 26 year old fashion blogger has caught my eye instantly, from her beautiful pictures in Dubai (mosque's and deserts), from nature trips and most of all her Outfit posts.

I love!!! her great fashion finds: thrifted buckled top (Php 30) (GO TO outfit) paired with cut-off shorts and MNG heels, her wide array of great pieces of jewelry from egypt, and mikimoto pearls and her pictures with beautiful scenery. Plain breath taking.

Noelle Chantal

Mads - the miss congeniality in my blog world. She was perhaps the first person I have ever commented on (and actuxally got ecited about it, it was about Guam) and got a comment from. She shares a very quirky and fierce passion for fashion. It's always a fashion plus that she's a doctor, being busy in the hospital but still manages to look FAB =) hence, her blog. fashionisthebestmedicine

I love her great ideas of how she turned a skirt into a dress, what she made with the leopard print robe she got from SM Surplus turned into a FAB and DIVA-ish blazer and how she scored her BALMAIN-esque blazer in a thrift shop in Baguio.
It's always amazing with her style, something unexpected and out there.

Danielle
Her life is like a party on the BEACH!! Vibrant, free and over the top!! that's Danielle of trustme-itsparadise. Colorful nail polish, half shaved head (i do not know what to call it, Dane's hairstyle maybe?) bubbly/girly/rock-ish style. That's how I see her feirce make up, great accessories and unpredictable style!! Never afraid of giving anything a TRY!!
I love her DIY body chain necklace, her fab outfit posts and just about anything of her style and creativity!

The teenvogue intern JazziMcG. She made me fall inlove with the YSL Imperiale Pumps!! Her Alexander Wang DIY socks and most of all her Beauty recommendations. Pisst!! She shares INTERN tips and a whole lot of advice, both beauty and fashion. She simply is a great source of inspiration!

Maegan of Love Maegan - Why buy when you can DIY? She is completely creative blogger at her best!! she DIY's christian Louboutin's Rose Petal Sandals and Clutch, Tom Bins-ish jewelry, feather skirts, tassel earrings, and YSL cage sandals name it!! She does it. =)

Lexy of Quirky Explosion - ahh! I see bright colors and smiles everywhere. She is bubbly and happy when it comes to dressing up, she makes it seem that it's not a big deal, fashion should be fuss free, and she is never afraid to mix and match colors. Perhaps, a happy personality wraps it all up and makes everything work, her outfits are not the make it or break it kind, it's just always working. Most of all, she scores great vintage finds too. I just love lexy's quirky personality.

I love that she makes her own skirts, all the mix of colors and prints in an outfit. (the florals). And yeah, I love that she could draw!! I see a very bright future in her (art/fashion related)

like any other girl, she is determined and goal oriented, that's what I like about Michelle of glistersandblisters. She strives to be on top and SHE IS!! I came across her blog through Mads, I must say, I got hooked instantly!! This 17 year old has a crazy bag and shoe collection!! She is very versatile, she can be a girly girl and a tough chick at any moment. I love that she does not only talk about fashion but also great food. And updating her blog almost always is a MUST!! I just can't stop reading about her.

2010 wishlist

2010 is just around the corner and I find my self wishing to acquire some of these things. =) well actually this shape collage application online made me gather pictures of the things I'm dreading about. So here I'd like to share it with you...

(click photos to enlarge)

you really can't have everything all at once, so this wishlist is good for a year already, unless something comes up along the way. =)

btw, the shape collage application is so easy to use. try it. and share the world your 2010 wish list too!!

IF EVER (wish list break down)

If I ever surpass my thesis defense, most probably I will get:
1. Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens

If ever it comes in stock:
2. the Louis Vuitton Lovely ballerina shoe from Spring/summer 2010

If ever I graduate in March:
3. the Cartier Roadster, or any of the Cartier watches I might like.

If ever Mom spared some cash:
4&5. Damier Ebony Keepall 50, and Monogram Insolite wallet

If ever I get lucky:
6&7. The Balenciaga city classic or the LV epi noe.

If ever I was the luckiest girl in the world:
8. I get to see the YSL Imperiale pumps waiting for me in Guam or US this summer if ever I get to have a vacation (hoping they're on SALE)

So if ever I was these things, I'd be able to get my hands on the things I'm wishing =)

Most Filipinos eat steak and almost anything with rice.

I was craving for steak so asked Mom and Bf that we have lunch at Al Dente, a local italian restaurant coz my taste buds were screaming for their Tenderloin steak.

Mom and Bf ordered their Steak Florentine
