Nikon lens review

This post will serve as a review for the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 I recently got.

I am not good with photography at all but I wanted nice pictures with blurry background, after reading several reviews and after several months contemplating between the 50mm, I finally decided to get the 35mm.
For these 2 main reasons:
1. 50mm is too near for me if I want to take indoor photos, there would be more backing up and adjusting
2. 50mm is not a DX lens and cannot auto focus, although a lot of people like it better to focus manually, i think it's always better to have an option

So they are finally here. Photos below are my test shots, trying out how the bokeh effect would turn out and all that. I just want nicer and sharper pictures and I think I have found the answer. This is a good lens for beginners or those who wants blurry pictures on a budget. I got this for $197

first shot with the lens, i love the sharpness of the picture

pictures are unedited and straight out from the camera

And I am currently reading everything about photography from my ipod, an application I downloaded - dSLR toolkit for dummies, it is very helpful for beginners/dummies like me, it also has specific exposure calculator for every event or setting you are shooting and a whole lot of photography tips. I got my money's worth for 99 cents. =)
